C. Information from Third-Party Sources

Property Valuation Data:

When premium users request property valuations through our RentCast API integration, we may receive property records and estimated values for the requested addresses.

Payment Processing:

PayPal provides us with transaction status, subscription confirmations, and payment metadata (but NOT your financial account details).

III. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We may use the information we collect for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • To facilitate messaging between buyers and sellers
  • To process subscription payments through PayPal

A. Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform:

Payment Processing:

PayPal — All payment transactions are processed exclusively through PayPal. We do not store your credit card, bank account, or other financial payment information. By using our payment features, you agree to PayPal's Privacy Policy. PeerPadz is not responsible for PayPal's data practices or any payment disputes.

Analytics and Advertising:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — We use Google Analytics to analyze website traffic and user behavior. Google may collect and process data as described in their privacy policy.
  • Facebook Pixel (optional, consent-gated) — If you consent via our cookie banner, Facebook may collect data about your browsing activity for advertising purposes. See Facebook's Data Policy.

Cloud Services and Hosting:

  • Render — Our platform is hosted on Render's US-based servers
  • AWS S3 / DigitalOcean Spaces — We use cloud storage services for images and media files uploaded to the platform

Push Notifications:

Firebase Cloud Messaging — We use Firebase to send push notifications about messages, listing updates, and account activity. See Google's Firebase Privacy Policy.

Property Data:

RentCast API — Premium users may access property valuation data through RentCast. See RentCast's privacy policy.

We are not responsible for the data practices of these third-party services. Please review their privacy policies independently.

B. Legal Requirements and Protection

We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of PeerPadz, our users, or the public
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues

C. Business Transfers

Active Accounts:

While your account is active, we retain your account information, listings, messages, and usage data to provide our services.

Account Closure:

When you deactivate your account, we may retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent fraud.

Even after account closure, we may retain certain data for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Transactional records for accounting, tax, and audit purposes
  • Terms of Service acceptance logs and agreement records
  • Dispute-related communications and resolution documentation
  • Information necessary to prevent fraud or abuse of our platform

This retention period varies based on the type of information, legal requirements, and legitimate business needs.

Messages:

  • Messages between users are stored on our servers and are NOT encrypted end-to-end.
  • Messages are visible to the sender, receiver, and PeerPadz administrators (for moderation, legal compliance, and dispute resolution purposes).
  • You may delete your messages at any time through your account settings, though copies may remain in system backups for a reasonable period.

Property Listings:

Deactivated or expired listings may be retained for historical reference, analytics, and legal compliance purposes.

Cookies and Analytics Data:

Analytics data is typically retained for 26 months (Google Analytics default) or as configured in our analytics tools. Cookie data expires according to the specific cookie type (session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until their expiration date).

After the applicable retention period, we may anonymize your data (removing personal identifiers) or securely delete it from our active systems, though anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for statistical and analytical purposes.

VI. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

A. Rights for All Users

Account Deletion:

B. State-Specific Privacy Rights (US)

If you are a resident of certain US states, you may have additional rights:

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA):
